The top certification level of UNCTAD-Empretec trainers is the International Master Trainer.

UNCTAD-Empretec International Master Trainers have a solid experience in delivering Empretec training at the national level and, as a requirement for the certification, they need to have delivered at least four Empretec training workshops outside their countries.
They are expected to be proficient in another language than their own (as it may be required for international assignments) and have the ability to adapt to and interact with participants of different cultures.

Upon recommendation of other certified International Master Trainers and verification of the minimum requirements, UNCTAD issues the certificate.
