A training workshop for English-speaking African trade negotiators and officials for services negotiations was carried out by UNCTAD under the African Continental Free Trade Area initiative in August.

A week-long workshop, convened by UNCTAD and the African Union Commission, is underway to train services trade negotiators from Anglophone African countries on related negotiations under the African Continental Free Trade Area (CFTA).

Overdependence on the exports of minerals has prompted Namibia to rethink its growth and export strategy, and a new approach was explored during an UNCTAD-backed workshop in Windhoek, Namibia on 28-29 April 2015.

Zambia's trade is dominated by the export of a primary commodity - copper - so the Government is looking at ways to diversify sources of revenue, add value to exports and build a resilient economy for its citizens.

The report of the Trade Policy Framework for Jamaica is the result of a two-year project involving  UNCTAD research and technical support and  collaboration and consultations with several Governmental entities.
